Homework survey results Sep ’13
It is as shame that no distinction is made between homework for lower and higher classes. Personally I am unsure of the importance of homework in lower classes (up to p4) compared to homework for the older kids.
Also as a working mum having to motivate my kids (and myself) when all coming home at 5.30pm, to do homework is difficult. I feel it is not always the best way of spending time with them. And please teachers could we keep the big ‘art projects’ out of homework. Really who are we thinking we are kidding… It’s mum and dad doing the sticking and the gluing mostly!
Very impressed though with the attention that goes into thinking about this subject. Too easy to just keep doing what has always been done.
